The Captain runs into all kinds of unusual things. This time it was a dead mouse. One of our clients called their HVAC company because their air conditioner was not working. The AC technician came to examine the problem and the first thing he looked at was the power supply to the air conditioner.
He opened up the box on the air conditioner and almost fell over because across the terminals was a dead mouse.
He then measured the voltage and discovered that one leg of the 220V feed was not powered. He said call an electrician.
We dispatched our electrician who listened to the lady’s story and he asked her to show him where the mouse was found. He looked at the wire and sure enough the poor mouse had bitten through the wire and electrocuted himself.
Our technician fixed the wire and now the air conditioner works.
I hope the afterlife for mice isn’t hot.
